Use Vantage
Approve an agent
Choose which accounts your agent can read and for how long.
1. Open the request
When your agent needs access, it gives you an approval link. Open it and sign in or create an account. Review the agent’s name, installation ID, runtime label, task, account hint and requested duration.
Match the request to the agent you asked to work with Vantage. The agent supplies its name and runtime label; the installation ID identifies the specific installation asking.
The link contains a private review token, can be used once and expires after 15 minutes.
2. Choose accounts and duration
- Review the task and account hint, such as “Amex”.
- Select the connected accounts you want to share. Check the name and last digits of each account.
- Confirm the purpose and duration. Access defaults to one hour, with a twelve-hour maximum. Choose an offered duration, or keep the exact duration your agent requested.
- Select Approve transaction access, or Deny request to decline.
Approval creates a transaction grant: read-only permission for the selected accounts’ rolling 90-day transaction view and updates made during the access period.
Need to connect a bank first? Open Accounts and complete the connection, then choose Resume agent request in the same tab. You still need to select accounts and approve before the request expires.
3. Continue with your agent
The approval receipt confirms the accounts, duration and expiry. Return to your agent and ask it to continue. It checks its current grants and approved accounts, then reads the transactions it needs.
Open Agent access to check current permissions and expiry.
Renew access
When a grant expires, your agent requests a new link. Review and approve it to create a new grant.
You can approve several agents, each with its own accounts, expiry and history. An installation belongs to the first human who approves it. Use a separate installation to work with another human’s accounts.
